This week is Community Week and Green Week at Brightside School. We have lots of different events planned in school for your child this week to help them to learn about the importance of communities and looking after the world.

Events include:

• an assembly from Sheffield City Council to find out how Sheffield recycle
• a visit from a guide dog and the trainer
• a poster competition
• a performance from the year 2 children and Greentop Circus to showcase their circus skills to the rest of the school
• a musical performance from the year 2 children to showcase their circus music to the rest of the school
• a recycling project for each class e.g. each class will be making something using recycled products
• an assembly led by the Green Team  at the end of the week to celebrate
