Nursery celebrates Chinese New Year
This week the children have been learning about and celebrating Chinese New Year. They have decorated their nursery with red lanterns and paper chains, as red is believed to be a lucky colour for Chinese people. They have learnt about the different animals from the zodiac story - this year it is the year of the dog. Today they tried some prawn crackers and dipped them in sauces. They tasted a sweet and sour sauce and a black bean sauce. The they made a pictogram to show which they liked the best. Everyone loved the prawn crackers! "Kung Hei Fat Choi!" - wishing you luck and a wonderful time!
