The children at Brightside have taken part in Take One Picture Week this week.  They have been learning about a Japanese piece of artwork that the school council chose called 'The Great wave Off Kanagawa.' The children have created their own pieces of artwork based around the picture using paints, oil pastels and pencils.  These will be displayed at an art event at Wincobank Village Hall in May half term.  They have also found out about Japan, created music and created poems about the artwork. 

The children finished their week with a special celebration assembly today where they shared what they had been learning about with the whole school. Well done Brightside!
