We had a great first day back at nursery yesterday celebrating Pancake Day. We learnt about the ingredients used to make pancakes, read ’The Runaway Pancake’ and most importantly…ate some pancakes! We chose our toppings and used a knife and fork to cut and spread.
We also learnt a new song (to the tune of 5 currant buns):
5 crispy pancakes in a frying pan
Toss them in the air and catch them if you can
Along came (name) with a penny one day
Bought a crispy pancake and took it away
