This week we have two reasons to celebrate at Brightside! One of these is welcoming all of the children back in school and the other is Science Week. 

Throughout the week, the year 2 children have been reading the Egg Drop story. They were then given the challenge to design and make a contraption to keep the egg safe when it was flying. Today they built their contraptions using different materials such as boxes, wool and tin foil. There were some amazing designs such as hot air balloons and parachutes!  They then went out to the playground to test their contraptions to see if they kept their egg safe.  

Well done year 2, what an amazing first week back so far!
