Today the year 2 children have been learning all about keeping their teeth healthy. 

They began the morning with an assembly with Mrs. Mercer where they learnt about the importance of brushing their teeth twice a day.

This afternoon, they have set up an experiment to find out which drinks are bad for their teeth.  They worked in pairs to choose a drink to test and placed an egg (which acted as a tooth) into the liquid.  They chose drinks such as cola, lemonade, milk, vinegar, coffee and blackcurrant.  They will be monitoring the eggs over the next couple of days to look out for any changes. Here are some predictions:

*'I think the egg will turn rotten'

*'I think the shell will turn black because of the sugar in the cola'

*'I think the egg will explode because the drink is fizzy!' 

I wonder what will happen?
