The Zone

Welcome to The Zone. 

The staff/key workers in The Zone are Miss Green (Zone Lead), Mrs Moore and Mrs Findlay.

‘A brighter future for all’

The Brightside Zone and the Sunshine Curriculum builds on the whole school ethos for all children. The Brightside Zone is a low arousal area for children with autism and/or social and communication needs. It provides a curriculum which is fundamental to the lives of the children and their stage of development. High aspirations, opportunities for personalised learning and preparation for adulthood drive the curriculum. The Brightside Zone and the Sunshine Curriculum aims to ensure that every child is a communicator and focuses on ways to overcome barriers to ensure good long term outcomes and ambitious end points. Inclusion and integration underpins the ethos of the Brightside Zone and Sunshine Curriculum and a belief that children should have the opportunity to attend school in their local area and community. 

PE days 

Our PE day is Tuesday. We also join our classes in reception, year 1 and year 2 for PE. Please bring a PE kit to school.
